The Castle of Logatec and Castle Park have a special status in Logatec – recently, Primož Petek has provided facilities for sport activities and opened a pub in the Park. The Castle of Logatec and Castle Park have a special status – every time you step onto this piece of land you get the feeling of respect for the cracked walls of the medieval castle and for old magnificent trees that give a special character to the area. That was probably also the reason that already Valvasor caught sight of this castle that was built before 1580 by an administrator form Idrija, Urban Ainkhürn.
